Emigdio Ballon: “Indigenous people in ancient times were sustainable and independent. I am influenced by traditional technologies, plant genetics & native food sovereignty.”

The program will hear from speakers like Emigdio and Micah Roseberry who is also saving and sharing seeds and wants to develop a seed bank in Taos with participants from across Northern New Mexico.

The program will also include musicians Juan Kuster, charanguista, and his father Nathaniel Kuster, zamponeas y quenas, with traditional and native music. NM poet Jaime Chavez, will share a few poems from his latest collection.
